Water Science and Engineering (WSE) (ISSN 1674-2370, CN 32-1785/TV), founded in 2008, is a scientific and technical periodical published quarterly in English and distributed globally. The journal is sponsored by Hohai University in China. The periodical is published on the 30th of March, June, September, and December every year, with 120 pages color-printed. At present, the journal has been abstracted/indexed in Ei Compendex, SciVerse Scopus, CA (Chemical Abstracts), ProQuest-CSA (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts), IC (Index Copernicus), China Academic Journals Integrated Online Database, Wanfang Database of China, and VIP Database of China.
WSE focuses on new concepts, theories, methods, and techniques related to water issues. The published papers cover original research in the fields of water science, water engineering, water resources protection, water environment and ecological restoration, with emphases placed on the innovation and applicability of science and technology in large-scale hydropower project construction, large river and lake regulation, inter-basin water transfer, hydroelectric energy development, and ecological restoration.
